EX UNDA – a kinetic light sculpture

EX UNDA (lat. out of the wave) deals with the natural experience of the wave as a source of inspiration. Several glass bowls, suspended from the ceiling and filled with water, move up and down motor-operated. They imitate the movements of a water surface. By illuminating the shells from above, various light reflections are created on the floor. Due to the vibration and movement of the shells, waves are generated on the water surface. Their illumination makes the physical phenomenon of interference in the form of varying structures on the ground surface visible.
