Enzephalomat 88 – A biofeedback device to cure mental insufficiencies
Tags
The Enzephalomat 88 is a biofeedback device for the treatment of mental disorders. It consists of EEG electrodes attached to headphones and a display unit. The electrodes are connected to an EEG amplifier. Brain activity is continuously measured and compared to a standard model of social behaviour.
Based on patent-pending algorithms, audible and visual feedback is generated to correct any psychological irregularities.
The Enzephalomat is a satire on the faith in technology of past and future decades (with a retro look). It was shown at the lab.30 festival in 2011.
